Riflessi in sospensione – Reflections in Suspension – 25 Years of Art (2000–2025) by Paolo Terdich
The retrospective exhibition Riflessi in Sospensione has come to a close, celebrating my twenty-five years of artistic activity within the prestigious Monumental Hall of Palazzo Gotico in Piacenza.
I am deeply honored that Councillor Christian Fiazza and the Municipal Administration supported the realization of the exhibition, granting the Monumental Hall free of charge and recognizing the initiative as a meaningful contribution to the city’s cultural identity and to the promotion of local contemporary art. I was also particularly honored to learn that, over the past thirty years, this form of collaboration has involved only two major retrospective exhibitions by artists from Piacenza.
The remarkable public response—around one thousand visitors over the course of the exhibition—was a source of great satisfaction, as were the many generous comments and expressions of appreciation received throughout the event.
My sincere thanks go to all those who attended for their warmth and engagement, to Councillor Christian Fiazza for his support and kind words, to Alberto Moioli, Director of the Enciclopedia d’Arte Italiana, for his thoughtful appreciation of my work, and to Maria Lisa Skarpa, President of Luci e Ombre – Arti Visive Piacenza, for her valuable contribution to the organization of the exhibition.
Esodo
On Friday, 21 February, the exhibition Esodo concluded in Rome, at the prestigious Sala del Cenacolo within the Vicolo Valdina Complex of the Chamber of Deputies. The event was presented and promoted by the President of the Chamber, Lorenzo Fontana, on the occasion of the Giorno del Ricordo.
President Fontana’s remarks were met with heartfelt appreciation, as were the interventions of Federico Mollicone, President of the Culture Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, and Alberto Moioli, Director of the Encyclopaedia of Italian Art.
I am deeply gratified by the success of the solo exhibition Esodo, dedicated to my family and to the memory of the victims of the foibe and the exodus—a tribute to events that for too long remained in the shadows. The exhibition attracted a large and attentive audience, who showed profound interest in both the themes addressed and the works presented. The initiative also received significant media attention, with around sixty articles and a dozen video features published both on the official website of the Chamber of Deputies and in leading national newspapers.
