Riflessi in sospensione – Reflections in Suspension – 25 Years of Art (2000–2025) by Paolo Terdich
On Saturday, November 29, 2025, the Salone Monumentale of Palazzo Gotico will host the inauguration of the solo exhibition Reflections in Suspension – 25 Years of Art (2000–2025) by Paolo Terdich. The exhibition will remain open to the public until December 8, 2025.
The opening ceremony will be introduced by the Councillor for Culture and Tourism of the Municipality of Piacenza, Christian Fiazza, and presented by art critic and director of the Encyclopaedia of Italian Art, Alberto Moioli, who also curated the exhibition Esodo in Rome (February 2025), .
The initiative has been made possible through the collaboration of the non-profit cultural association Luci e Ombre – Arti Visive Piacenza, which formally submitted the request for the use of the Monumental Hall to the Municipality of Piacenza. By resolution dated September 2, 2025, the Municipal Council expressed its favourable opinion, acknowledging the high cultural value of the project.
Reflections in Suspension marks the 25th anniversary of Paolo Terdich’s artistic activity, inaugurated in 2000 with his first solo exhibition at the Italian Cultural Institute in Cairo. Approximately 70 works will be on display, articulated in thematic and chronological sections that retrace the evolution of the artist’s creative and expressive journey. The curatorial project, entrusted to the association Luci e Ombre – Arti Visive Piacenza, aims to provide the public with a coherent and engaging interpretation, highlighting both the individuality of the research and its dialogue with the cultural identity of the territory.
The Municipality of Piacenza has underlined how the exhibition represents a significant contribution to the enhancement of the city’s cultural identity and to the promotion of contemporary art at the local level. The choice of Palazzo Gotico, with its historical and evocative atmosphere, further enriches the initiative, offering visitors an immersive artistic and cultural experience in the heart of Piacenza.
Further information, together with the official invitation, will be released in the coming weeks.
Artistic Project Esodo
On Friday, 21 February, the exhibition Esodo concluded in Rome, at the prestigious Sala del Cenacolo within the Vicolo Valdina Complex of the Chamber of Deputies. The event was presented and promoted by the President of the Chamber, Lorenzo Fontana, on the occasion of the Giorno del Ricordo.
President Fontana’s remarks were met with heartfelt appreciation, as were the interventions of Federico Mollicone, President of the Culture Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, and Alberto Moioli, Director of the Encyclopaedia of Italian Art.
I am deeply gratified by the success of the solo exhibition Esodo, dedicated to my family and to the memory of the victims of the foibe and the exodus—a tribute to events that for too long remained in the shadows. The exhibition attracted a large and attentive audience, who showed profound interest in both the themes addressed and the works presented. The initiative also received significant media attention, with around sixty articles and a dozen video features published both on the official website of the Chamber of Deputies and in leading national newspapers.
